Together

Submitted on : Mar 19, 2008
A lot of bad things have happened,
I have had a very rough past.
All the events that took play,
Made it seem I would never last.

From dealing and doing drugs,
That put me in danger daily.
Getting beat nearly to death,
Stuck in the hospital ailing.

Getting shot at and broken bones and,
Dying are some of the things I've done.
But those things are all in my past,
Now I think I've finally won.

I have put my past behind me,
Now I concentrate on the present.
I have found my wife to be,
She was definitely heaven sent.

We share and ungodly connection,
Romeo and Juliet would envy.
I have never been this happy,
I'm so glad she has chosen me.

Every time I think about her,
I am in sweet serenity.
The flame in my heart has ignited,
It burns for her for eternity.

When I am in her presence,
I finally feel secure.
I've never been so grateful,
She is my ultimate cure.

I think about her daily,
I dream about her nightly.
My love for her will never waiver,
Not in the least, not even slightly.

The moment we started dating,
She became my entire world.
I am the luckiest man,
I found such a perfect girl.

Someday in our future,
She'll be a bigger part of my life.
She'll be a bigger part of my life.
Someday I'll propose to her,
Finally having my perfect wife.

Our futures, may be uncertain,
We will always have each other.
No matter where life takes us,
We will always be together.
