How do I tell him I love him?

I need major help. I love this guy that i have known for 4 years now. I don't know if he loves me. We are really good friends and know almost everything about each other. I like him for his personality if that helps any. He is nice to me. Teases me a lot though. And it's not like if I drop something he is going to go get it for me. He would probably laugh and tell me to hurry up. I want him to know that I love him but I am also afraid it will ruin our friendship. I am afraid he won't feel the same about me either. He means everything to me. He is my very best friend and would probably die if I lost him. How do I tell him I love him? Should I even tell him? How do I know if he likes me? What do you think I should do? Thank you

    OK SO I REALLY LIKE THIS BOY I THINK HE IS VERY CUTE BUT I DONT WHAT TO DO WHEN I SEE HIM OR WHEN IM AROUND HIM, WELL I CHATED WITH HIM BEFORE AND THAT WAS IT SO I DONT KNOW HOW TO TELL HIM I LIKE HIM.

    start it with a small conversation to ascertain his view on the friends becoming lovers... jus see wht he tells and wht he feels... if he also accept that, thn ask him "wht would u do if i loves u?".... if he say anythng positive, thn continue tht and tell him how much he is important to u.... if he say anything negative, jus stop it there and tell tht u was jus kidding....! and thn take some more time to attract him....! all the best...!
