What should i do?

Last year i fell in love with my best friend Liam. I decided not to act on my feelings and forget about them, but since coming back to school i realised that i still loved him, i decided to tell him but it seems that he is in love with my friend Iona. They sat next to each other last year, but i didn't think anything of it as my friend iona wasn't interested and knew how much i liked him. She still isn't interested but he is madly in love with her...not me. What should i do? Should i tell him how i feel or not or leave it. I am brokenhearted after he then asked her if she would sit next to him in french, Iona is really shy and doesn't like to disappoint people so she said yes. I told her it was ok to like him but she looked and me and asked if i was kidding. She says they are only friends and Liam isn't in love with her...but all my other friends say he is really trying to get her attention. I really don't know what to do, i feel like i'm in a love triangle. Please help
