I just started university this year and during my first year, I met a guy, but in the beginning we didn't even talk to each other. We just greeted each other in a friendly way. As time passed, by the beginning of the year 2014 we became really close and started to know each other better. In the beginning, everything was so beautiful. We joked with each other and everything was so fine. I was happy every day. I thought I was in love with him and I also believed that he liked me. But after some time, everything changed. We started arguing and I felt like he was playing with me. Now  we are in good terms because I made it through those difficult times and I made a blind eye for everything that he said to me. Now I am almost sure that we can be nothing but friends. But I would like to know if you have any idea why he was the first one who got close to me. He was the one who talked first and the one who started to be interested in me. So that's what I need to know. Do you have any idea??? 
Also I believe that he liked me more than a friend in the beginning, but as time passed by he changed. Also now he is in a relationship with another girl.
I would appreaciate any kind advice from you. Even if it's just an opinion for my situation, please tell me. I will be very grateful. Thanks!!! :D :D :D
