afraid to give up single status

I was but nnow its just him. I wants us, but afraid to let go of his single status. What can we do about this. I did the love test, of course I love more 91% to his 75%... what a difference. But he is a narcissis... We have been seeing each other 8 years. we hadden wanted a official status. but as time has changed and we have we are evolving quickly suddenly and everything is readjusting and its crazy but good. he only wants to be able to say he is single to bambozal some women into giving him free stuff, because he is also a hoarder. He is also an attention seeker... and needs admiration from others. Not from me because he knows he already has it and doesnt have to attempt to earn it, only has to keep it. i have been not wanting to be in an official relationship due I have 5 children at home and now I am down to 3. I hadden maintain a job regularly until last 8 months, I didnt want to be a liablity and have children as well. we wont be living together because of my children and his. but we need to get past this word and life of being "single", specially when neither of us is interested in being with other people in any other way.
