I tried to drink away my pain
It never touched the burning shame
Knowing now you won't come back
seeing clearly where I lacked
hopeing you'll forgive my wrongs
Though they festered far too long
I'm missing all that we once had
Never dreamed I'd be this sad
Wishing now just for you
Though I know the chance is few
