Affection

Poem by : Xavier Johnson
Submitted on : Jan 4, 2012
As I embrace the grace that comes with seeing your lovely face, I imagine how things could be. I sit here alone with my thoughts in my home wishing you were beside me. Considerable care as my fingers stroke your hair as we rest by the fireplace. I'm not sure if you'd run from me, but I've yet to start the chase. I'd hope that you spare me the despair of rejection. In exchange for my love, could I have your affection?
