It will affect your friendship so take it easy but you can let her know by making it more obvious. I was in the same position too so don't flip. I'm not a boy nd I know what girls like. Have come come over your home or just get together and let it out easy. Something like this"I've been thinking of you a lot lately and I think of you as more of a friend how do think of me as" If she likes you she WILL tell you!

If she really is your best friend, I strongly suggest that you open up to her. Tell her what you feel, and that irrespective of your answer you hope to be her best friend for ever (But I really doubt that it is possible). Tell her you value her friendship more than anything, and couldn't keep this from her.

Because if you don't do it now, you might regret it later and it might be too late then.
