Love Poem - Why Did I Let You Go?

You stay on my mind.
You reside in my heart.
The distance is great. We're miles apart.
I'm discouraged daily because I can't hear your voice.
Bleak circumstances leave me no choice.
You were warm to me, and I pushed you away.
Now I pay for it every day. Letting go is easier said than done.
I'm put off by time.
I haven't yet won.
The stress from missing you kills me quicker.
My joy is thin.
My agony is thicker.
Fear has acquired my faith in myself.
So I don't blame you if you're loving someone else.
