Drought

Your naked skin like silk to my rough, ungrateful hands
Your perfect bones unbreakable, mine distorted and severed
Your pretty little soul is crying tonight
You try to tell the world of your pain
As your tears fall from the angry sky
Into their hearts
But they will never understand it
Your face shines like porcelain
Mine weathered and destroyed
The rain keeps falling onto the world, letting up some, day after day
Just as your beauty slowly fades
Day after day
My love for is so passionate
So true
As your hate for me burns with an everlasting flame
The rain has almost gone now
Your tears are rarely seen anymore
Your once glowing skin has become dry and scarred
Your once lively bones have become fragile and weak
Your once gorgeous face has become tired and dreary
Your once fiery hatred for me has turned to love
For the rain has stopped, just as it stopped with me
Now it's you and me, together
Forever in this never ending drought
